Navigation Logs : Individual

Details of all terms seen and selected were recorded in the database, and used to generate both individual and summary reports. Below, for example, is a navigation "history" for one user, who started with the term hypermedia.

In the history, each selected term is shown below and one place to the right of the term from which it was derived. It is preceded by a symbolic representation of the "path" of relationships followed to reach it. The symbols <> and - stand for BT, NT and RT respectively. So, in the above example, the path --< indicates that the term in question was reached by following two associative links and then an upward hierarchical link.
