Transaction Logging

The Okapi team has developed extensive techniques for logging the interaction between system and user. Every keypress, mouse movement and mouse click is recorded for analysis, together with times to the nearest second. This allows for in-depth studies of what strategies are used to perform a particular task, how far users get with a search, how much time is spent on each particular phase, and so on.
